Antique book - The Essentials of Argumentation (1898?) - by E.J. MacEwan - published by D.C. Heath and Co. I'm not 100% sure of the publication date, because a few pages preceding the preface (including the title/copyright page) are missing, but this was in a batch of books that were all from 1888-1929. This classic book on logic and rules for debates/debating is STILL in use today. If this is a 1898 edition, it could be a first edition. It is at least a very early one. 7.25" x 5.25" - blue hardcover. Other than some cover edge wear, those missing pre-preface pages, and the word "English" penciled on the cover, this is in very nice shape for its age.
