A very rare and high quality specimen of one of the most unique stones on the planet. Hackmanite from Pakistan. It is one of the only stones on the planet that is brightly fluorescent glowing a brilliant pink orange color. Then once the uv light is removed the stone will glow white in the dark for several minutes. This characteristic is called phosphorescence. On top of that the stone will have the additional characteristic of turning a much darker purple color when exposed to uv light via blacklight or under exposure to sunlight. It is pretty incredible to take this crystal out into the sun and watch it as it turns from a lilac purple to a deep grape soda purple. These crystals are usually found as partial incomplete specimens. It is extremely rare to find a well terminated Hackmanite. Especially one that is gem quality with superb color saturation such as this one. The color shift is dramatic.
