Made in the early to mid 1950s, this exquisite necklace is designer signed Hattie Carnegie. All of the beads on this necklace are spectacular and they have fascinating history. The rare blue, white, green & white marbled fit-together exquisite ornate flower beads Hattie imported from the Neu-Gablonz region.
The white satin glass faceted beads look like rock crystal. These are drawn and cut glass beads that were complicated to make. The hollow gold barrel beads are a gold gilt fish net style.
A nice long design at 32 ", there are 20 flower bead pairs & 12 white satin glass beads. The gold metal barrel beads are large at about 7/8" long.
The necklace has the original Hattie Carnegie gold metal hang tag without copyright, or pre 1955. The entire necklace is in excellent clean condition; no cracks or chips on any of the beads. The gold metal beads have some light gold wear; the brass links between beads have a darkened patina.
