Patterns of im/mobility, collective identity, and conflict are intricately intertwined, exerting a profound influence on each other. This book primarily focuses on examining patterns of internal mobility, including traditional or strategic mobilities, as well as mobilities enforced by crisis, conflict, or governmental programs and regimes. By venturing beyond the prevailing discourse on transnational migration, it seeks to explore the dynamics of non/integration and belonging resulting from im/mobility on a cultural and political level. This analysis encompasses questions of representation, indigeneity/autochthony, political rights, and access to land and other resources.
