The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico ‘66 “Birch/Black” is a versatile colorway of the retro sneaker by the Japanese footwear company. The Onitsuka Tiger Mexico ‘66 was originally a performance running shoe that debuted in 1966 during the trials for the Mexico City summer olympics in 1968, and through the years it has become a popular casual shoe. The modern iteration of the model is largely similar to the original edition, but is made with contemporary materials and colors. This “Birch/Black” colorway features a tan leather construction with black tiger stripes on the sides. Classic “Onitsuka Tiger” branding is found on the tongue tag.
