The ECL-230D is a durable and reliable emergency door alarmed panic exit device which can be used on wood, hollow metal and aluminum doors. This rugged deadbolt short bar device with a steel plate is battery alarmed with an included 9 volt battery. The photoluminescent emergency sign absorbs light and will glow in the dark when lights are out or dimmed. This code compliant emergency exit device is an excellent choice for secondary exits when security is an issue and a great way to prevent theft. It will alert control personnel of an unauthorized exit when the alarm system is heard. It features a 100 decibel alarm powered by an included 9 volt battery making it a completely wireless alarm system. The alarm can only be reset with a control key. Unlocking and locking the deadbolt will always arm and disarm the alarm plus the lock body is corrosion resistant. This non handed alarmed panic exit device requires the following:At least one rim cylinder ((Cylinder and bar guard sold separately) If operating from both sides of the security door, two rim cylinders are required. Accepts 5-pin through 7-pin standard and interchangeable core rim cylinders. ECL-1595 - cylinder collar is required for 6 or 7 pin cylinders.
